Associate Lawyer

Born in Gujrat, Pakistan, Aamara immigrated to Calgary, Alberta with her family when she was 5 years old. 

Aamara holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice with Honours from Mount Royal University, where she was awarded a grant from the Faculty of Arts to conduct research on the safety and security issues on Calgary Transit. She obtained a Bachelor of Laws with Honours from the University of Southampton, UK in 2020, where she competed in several mooting competitions, volunteered with the legal clinic and acted as a student mentor for first year students. In 2021, Aamara completed a Master of Laws in Canadian Common Law at Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto, Ontario. 

While completing her Master’s program, Aamara clerked at the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice in Hamilton, Ontario for over a year, where she gained valuable experience understanding court operations, preparing legal documents and receiving mentorship from members of the judiciary. Aamara completed her 10-month articling term at a large full-service firm in northern Ontario where she gained experience in various areas such as civil litigation, employment law, corporate law, human rights, and criminal defence. 

Aamara’s practice is focused on civil litigation, personal injury, employment law, and human rights. 

Aamara is fluent in Urdu, Punjabi, and Hindi and welcomes clients who would prefer service in these languages.
