Chris began working with Donna Gee prior to her forming Guardian Law Group LLP (Guardian Law) with Dale Fedorchuk, Jonathan Denis, and Kevin Metz. He has been working at Guardian Law since it was formed in February 2017.
Chris has a BA from St. Mary’s University College (Calgary, Alberta) and an LLB from the University of Aberdeen (Aberdeen, Scotland). Soon after his return from Aberdeen, Chris began taking courses through the National Committee on Accreditation (NCA). Chris has received a Certificate of Qualification from the NCA.
In September 2015 Chris enrolled himself in the Law Practice Program (LLP) through Ryerson University. Through the program, Chris obtained a work Placement at Dorrington & Associates in Timmins, Ontario. After completing the LLP, but prior to being called to the bar, on November 16, 2016, Chris began working as a student with Donna Gee at North Calgary Legal Centre (North Calgary). While at North Calgary, Chris was called to the bar in Ontario on January 27, 2017. He then began the process to transfer to Alberta and was subsequently called to the bar in Alberta on August 30, 2017.
It was criminal law that first inspired Chris to begin his career in law, but his areas of interest have expanded to include estates, family law, and litigation. Chris is now primarily working in litigation.
Through the mentorship of lawyers such as Clint Docken, QC, Jonathan Denis, QC, Donna Gee, and Mathew Farrell, Chris is working hard to stand out and make a name for himself. However, it is his work ethic, dedication, efficiency, and ambition that make him stand out from the rest.
