I am currently practicing in Alberta and this November will mark the first anniversary since I began working at Guardian Law Group LLP. I was called to the bar in Ontario on January 27, 2017 and was called to the bar in Alberta on August 30, 2017. I have an LLB from the University of Aberdeen (Aberdeen, Scotland) and a BA from St. Mary’s University College (Calgary, Alberta). I have received a Certificate of Qualification from the National Committee on Accreditation (NCA).
It was criminal law that first inspired to begin my career in law, but my areas of interest have expanded to include estates, family law and litigation. These areas of law incorporate alternative dispute resolution, which I would like to pursue in the future.
After receiving my Certificate of Qualification from the NCA I completed the Law Practice Program (LPP) through Ryerson University. I finished my work placement in April 2016 at Dorrington & Associates Professional Corporation in Timmins, Ontario.
After I left Timmins, I was called to the bar in Ontario and subsequently, Alberta. Since November 2016, I have been working at Guardian Law Group LLP. The experience and knowledge this firm brings to the table is impressive. It a full service law firm located in Calgary’s east village.
